Restocking and maintaining a car first aid kit
A workplace safety manager or first aider is responsible for restocking and maintaining a workplace first aid kit.
They should monitor usage of the first aid kit and ensure items used are replaced as soon as practicable.
Regular checks should also be carried out after each use. If the kit is not used, checks should occur at least once every six months to ensure the kit contains a complete set of the required items. A contents list in the kit should be signed and dated after each check.
Items should be checked that they’re in working order, not deteriorated and within their expiry dates. Sterile products should remain sealed and untampered.
